Remarkable Wines, North Fork Terroir
We Get It…
As an adventurous wine enthusiast, you seek a Long Island Wine Country outing that takes no shortcuts. Your tired of those big winery tasting room crowds and want to enjoy high quality wines in a more laid back setting with friendly and knowledgeable hosts.
We believe that a winery tasting room experience should be approachable and authentic, free from the constraints of timed tastings and unfulfilling prepackaged experiences. It is our mission to not only pour you some of the best Long Island wines, but to make Coffee Pot Cellars your go to destination whenever you return the North Fork.
Your Passion Is Our Passion…
It’s easy to get lost in the sea of wines. We know the struggle to find that perfect bottle that not only tastes great but also has a story to tell.
At Coffee Pot Cellars, we share your passion for exceptional wines that embody the unique character and spirit of their surroundings. That’s why we hand-make each small-batch wine with our heart and soul in the bottle.
Rather than do it all we’ve focused on a small portfolio of wines with an emphasis on Long Island’s top-performing grape varieties; Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, to showcase the unparalleled quality of our region – the North Fork of Long Island appellation.
Highly Recommended
In addition to our many 5-star reviews, Coffee Pot Cellars was lauded in the NY Times article “36 Hours on the North Fork” for its “winning blend of good wine, sustainability initiatives, and art”.
Best New York Wine
Coffee Pot Cellars has won Best New York State Producer awards for its Merlot, Rosé, and Chardonnay while also earning a spot in Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s Top 100 Wines of the Year.
OUR STORY
Named for the distinctively-shaped lighthouse that guides ships passing Orient Point to their destinations, Coffee Pot Cellars is located in in the village of Cutchogue on the North Fork of Long Island in the southeastern part of New York State, 100 miles due east of New York City. Founded in 2008, the winery opened its Cutchogue tasting room in 2013. With over 30 years of hands-on winemaking experience, a masters degree in Enology from UC Davis, and training at Château Lafite Rothschild and in Napa Valley, Adam Suprenant, our founder and winemaker has earned numerous accolades over the course of his career including being named New York’s ” Best Red Wine Producer”, “Best Bordeaux Red Blend Producer”, “Best Merlot Producer”, “Best Cabernet Franc Producer”, “Best Cabernet Sauvignon Producer”, “Best Chardonnay Producer”, and “Best Rosé Producer”. In 2021 his Merlot was designated as one of Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s Top 100 Wines of the Year and he has been recognized by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate Magazine for producing “remarkable wine”. As stewards of the land, we take a minimalist, natural approach to winemaking and put great care into everything we do, from our Merlot for Monarchs program to the jam from our 2-acre organic berry farm, Blossom Meadow Farm, run by Adam’s wife, Laura Klahre
